About

We are six friends who recently graduated from Biola University in Southern California.  We enjoy lively discussion about theology, philosophy, art, and current events.  As members of Biola’s one-of-a-kind great books honors institute (Torrey Honors Institute), these kinds of conversations about big ideas and great literature happen often between the six of us.  One day, one of us suggested we start a blog and extend our conversations to the net.  Hence, “All Us Boys” was born.

The title of our blog comes from a song by the band the Coldwar Kids (Three members of the Coldwar Kids are Biola alumni).  The namesake of our blog is a song called “Saint John”–a song with hypnotic simplicity and a beautiful rawness.

Zcottzwingle is a Biblical & Theological studies college graduate attending Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with ineterests in Theology, Faith & Culture, Great Literature, and Mike & Ikes.

Nellermoe is a film student with a background in great literature.  His love for creativity, spirituality and culture have taken him from Egypt to China to study languages and minister God’s love to people through relationship and prayer.  His personal projects involve fim, language study, art, photography, and writing.

Thefourth is a seminarian at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with interests in creative expression (as formatting editor of a graduate student newspaper, being involved in a student arts guild).  He loves communicating God’s Word, community learning, and generous laughter.

Brianjwalton is a college graduate with a background in film studies, script-writing, and great books.  He is currently working in Southern California where he is pursuing the involvement of Christian thinking in the film & arts culture.

Clintperry has recently taught great books to youth through one of the entities of Biola’s Torrey Honors Institute. He lives in Southern California where he plays basketball, reads, and involves himself in conversation with others about issues that involve culture, Christianity, and the topics that are on his mind at the the time.
